Your choices

YouTube videos stay off unless you allow external media. You can accept or reject optional media, or change your choice through Cookie settings at any time.

Remembering your preference

We save your choice in this browser using local storage. This preference is not an HTTP cookie and is not sent to our server. It contains your external-media choice, the notice version and the time you saved it. It does not contain an email address or a tracking identifier.

Purpose

Remembering and applying your privacy choice

Clearing this website’s browser storage resets your choice. If storage is unavailable, your choice applies only to the current visit. We ask again when it expires or the notice version changes.

Optional YouTube videos

With your permission, we load YouTube’s player and player API. This connects your browser to YouTube, which can process information about your browser and device.

We use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced embed mode. This limits some personalisation; it does not mean that the player is anonymous or makes no external requests. See YouTube’s embedding information and Google’s privacy policy.

Turning external media off stops the current embedded video and prevents new players from loading. It cannot undo requests already sent or clear storage belonging to another website.

Other website requests

The download page requests public release information from GitHub. The newsletter sends the email you provide only when you submit its form. These features are separate from optional YouTube media.

We do not install separate analytics or advertising tools on this website. Optional YouTube content may include advertising provided by YouTube. Fonts, interface icons and preview images are served with the website. Following an external link takes you to a service with its own privacy practices.
